LO2- Understanding the skills needed to carry out a chosen media production

LO1-  P2 The job role I have chosen to talk about is cameraman In the this job roles communication is very important between the production team. Written communication is important as then the evidence of you saying this is logged. Through out 6 form I have made 2 trailers and 1 documentary. In the production of the first trailer I made, which was Counting Cards I was lead cameraman so I had the responsibility of making sure the footage was captured. With this I had too know what shots too take so the director (Ellis) sent me a shot list. Shot list This shot list was written communication so I know how long I need each shot need to be and what I will need to film but also the angle I will shoot. Another type of written communication was story boards as this gave me more detail on what to do the story boards provided me with an image. LO1- Task 2 Analyse two roles within a media production

TASK 2 The two roles I will be comparing are cameraman and editor because I would say that these two jobs are equally important. Cameraman has the responsibility to film the scene and get the correct movement for the actors and make sure all the angles are correct. The cameraman has to make sure all the equipment is set up so the director can tell them where to go with the camera. The cameraman needs to stay calm through out filming because the camera will shake if they do. The fluidity of the movement is very important because it plays a big part in the quality of the whole film. An editor has the responsibility to put the jigsaw puzzle together and will be putting the audio into the scenes to make it come alive. The editor will have to work hours and hours just to find the perfect scene for that part as the production team gives him all the footage. The editor will need to look back at the story boards and put the scenes in that order but if correctly done...
